How Easy Is Buying A Turnkey Website Really

How Easy Is Buying A Turnkey Website Really?

There are many ways to define if buying a turnkey website is in fact easy or hard.

The real difference between easy and hard when it comes to website investing is the amount of knowledge and skills you do or don’t have.

You see the actual act of buying a turnkey business is quite easy, although there are so many steps just in finding the right website business to invest in.

When buying a turnkey website you want to ensure you are investing in the right business. Which entails finding the right business, conducting due diligence, working out a deal with the owner and then taking ownership of the business. From their you can either choose to run it yourself, hire people to run it for you or flip the business just like many people do when investing in property.

For obvious reasons the more you learn about buying a turnkey website the easier it becomes. Just like driving a car right, when you first got behind the wheel you had no idea what to do. Which is why for those of you who are looking to buy your own website, it can be difficult, especially if you don’t know much about how website businesses work and make money.

First of all you need to set yourself some goals. For example you should have an idea for how much would like to spend, how much work you do or don’t want to put into the business and what type of returns you want to achieve.

Remember, there is no limit to how little or how many goals you set. Though once you have set out all your goals, it is then time to go and find a business that can allow you to achieve what you are setting out to do.

However the work does not end there. After you find a business that can potentially help you achieve your goals and is aligned with your website investment strategy. You need to be certain that the website business is what the owner is telling you it is.

To explain further, you want to look further into the business and see if it is really making the money the seller is showing you. You want to see what the income is, the expenses are and what work is needed to to maintain the website. Finding out many other things like what the competition is doing in the niche/industry the website is in and ect. It also helps to have this as a part of your due diligence checklist.

So essentially as I mentioned the actual act of buying a turnkey website is easy, although buying the right one is where you want to invest some time, whilst also becoming more and more knowledgeable about website investing.

It’s like anything in life, if it were easy everybody would be doing it right.

The cool thing about website investing though, is that once you start to learn it’s realistically not all that hard, even though from the outside looking in it appears so. On top of that and just quietly, not many people even know website investing is “a thing” should I say, which is great for you and me because we don’t have a whole lot of competitive buyers to bid against and whilst the market is still so young. Only in it’s infancy years still, we can achieve great returns!

  1. Hey mate. I saw your ad on Facebook and i have been reading your blog posts. This has left me very interested in your methods. As an apprentice electrician i found your plumbing background relatable and the life you have built for yourself seem definitely possible. I do have a few questions. You can buy websites from anywhere between $50 to thoudands of dollars. What would you call an optimal starting price for a beginner investor. For example could i purchase a site/store for $500 with the intention of building it up or would you say this site would be too new and untested. Secondly, where exactly do you buy your sites from. I have looked at the site store on shopify briefly. What is your opinion of this? Would you be able to give me some sort of checklist for the ideal site for a beginner. What exactly do i want, as a beginner, in my first site? Ideally im looking for a morderately successful site/store i can improve through better marketing. I look forward to hearing back and learning as much as i can from your experience. Cheers. Ben

    1. Ben! Whats up legend, good on you for reaching out.

Ok so to be honest you can NOT but a moderately successful site for $500 you would need to be spending at the absolute minimal ten times that amount. Reason being is you would be buying something that is failing and thats why people are trying to flick them, just like anything you buy, you get what you pay for right. So where to go… google some website brokers and look their, it will be more than you may be expecting but if you are serious about this you will need to make some sacrifices.

      Hope that helps man 🙂
